Washington, D.C. – Today CEO And president of the Joseph Rainey Center for Public Policy, Sarah Hunt released the following reaction to the Supreme Court ruling on West Virginia v. EPA:
"America needs an enduring strategy to address climate change. Today's Supreme Court decision makes it clear the only way that will happen is the old-fashioned way: Congress must pass climate policies with bipartisan support. These representatives of the people, not unelected regulators, are the only ones who can lead our nation forward into a clean-technology future by providing policy certainty. Thankfully, Congress is already working to advance legislation in support of zero-emission, clean-tech solutions with bipartisan backing - such as advanced nuclear and carbon capture - that can meet our climate goals while also strengthening economic and national security."
