Mia Heck

Vice President

A Texas native, Mia brings nearly 20 years of policy, governmental and strategic planning experience to the Rainey Center team. Her career has centered around health, community service and national government relations initiatives. She is a veteran of the Department of Health and Human Services where she led strategic planning and program development initiatives from the community to federal levels.

As Vice President, Mia manages the Rainey Center’s flagship leadership development program, LAMP which encourages the engagement of state policymakers on the most pressing policy issues of the day including climate change, the COVID-19 pandemic response and inclusive governance issues.
