Alexander Hughes is the Chief Legal Officer for Sandclock, a fintech startup focused on empowering investors by allowing them to harness the power of decentralized finance to grow their wealth responsibly and support charity. Prior to joining Sandclock, Alex worked for several major international law firms and deployed to Mosul, Iraq as an officer in the US Army.

 

Panelists:

Andrea O’Sullivan is the director of the Center for Technology and Innovation at the James Madison Institute. Her work focuses on cybersecurity, surveillance, Internet freedom, cryptocurrency, competition, and the economics of technology. O’Sullivan completed her undergraduate studies in economics and political science at Florida State University and graduate level economics at George Mason University.

 

Gil Klein has advocated for blockchain technology in dozens of industries around the world. Gil believes that the de-centralization of blockchain technology freedom back in the hands of society.

 

Jeremy Snyder is the Managing Director of High Impact Philanthropy at Mercy Corps, a leading INGO operating in more than 40 countries. Mercy Corps is a global leader in piloting and deploying emerging technologies such as blockchain and cryptocurrencies in some of the most challenging context and locations around the world. He holds in Masters in Nonprofit Management from Northeastern and a BS in Sociology from George Fox University.

 

Josh Arnold is Vice President at Targeted Victory, where he leads the team's cryptocurrency practice. He was previously the Deputy Chief of Staff for Senator Cynthia Lummis (R-WY), and prior to that he was Director of Strategic Partnerships and Advisor to the Executive Director at Heritage Action, the political arm of The Heritage Foundation.
