Voters Support Secure Elections: New Poll Shows Overwhelming Bipartisan Consensus

New polling from the Joseph Rainey Center reveals broad bipartisan agreement on election security. A survey of 1,299 registered voters found strong support for commonsense measures to protect the integrity of American elections.

The most popular measure: 81% of voters support requiring up-to-date verification for absentee ballots, with 57% strongly supporting. Voter ID requirements received 77% support, while 75% back prohibiting foreign election spending.

Americans want elections they can trust. These findings demonstrate that securing elections isn't a partisan issue.

Methodology:

This poll surveyed 1,299 registered voters via online panel from January 28, 2026 to January 29, 2026. Results were weighted by gender, age, race, and education to match population demographics. The margin of error is ±3.1 percentage points at the 95%confidence level.
